what is science

suppose you are lying on grassland in the countryside,  you may see clouds moving slowly in the sky,hear birds singing, and see different types of plants growing everywhere, have you ever wondered what clouds are, why we can hear, or how plants obtain their foods?
people are curious and always ask questions about the world around them, through studying science, we may understand better how the natural world works.
we now know the answers to the above questions, clouds are formed from small water droplets; sound waves reach our ears through the air. our ears and brain then work together so that we can hear; plants can make their own food. the knowledge in obtained through scientific study, which is a detailed and systematic process.

there are different branches of science, such as biology, chemistry and physics.
when scientists carry out an investigation, they make observations, ask a question and suggest a possible answer then they collect evidence for supporting their answer.
in general, scientific discoveries and inventions are good for society, they increased our understanding of the natural world and improved our quality of life, however, they can be harmful if they are not used properly.
scientific knowledge is subject to change when there are new discoveries.
there are limitations in scientific knowledge. many questions still cannot be answered using our present scientific knowledge.
